Currawong Falls Circuit

Date:  Sunday 13th April

Time:  9:30am  (Please arrive by 9:15am)

Cost:  $35 for members

           $45 for non-members

Currawong Falls is a 10km circuit walk in the hills near Aireys Inlet.  This is a lovely enchanting walk that takes in beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.  The hike to Currawong Falls is gentle with some steep ascents as we venture through small fern gullys and a melaluca swamp with native birdlife.  You may also see beautiful wildflowers and after rain a running waterfall.   

This path is well formed and part of the track is shared with mountain bike riders.

This hike can take anywhere from 3 hours to complete.

What to bring:

- At least 2 litres of drinking water (no drinking water available)

- Comfortable walking shoes

- Sunscreen

-Hat/Beanie

-Rain coat/jacket (if required)

- Small backpack to carry everything in

Location:

This walk starts at Distillery Creek Picnic Area.  Details will be sent with text message prior to walk.  Please park in the car park on your right.    There are toilets at this location.  

Weather:

This hike is safe to complete in all types of weather and will only be cancelled if a severe weather warning is forecast.

This walk is rated YELLOW 

This is a gentle hike with no major steep hills or difficult sections and involves walking on dirt uneven tracks that are wide enough to chat along.  The distance is approximately 10km and can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to complete.  This rating is a guide and only you can decide if this Adventure is suitable for you.
