12 Apostles Hiking Adventure

Sat 26th to Sunday 27th October

Cost $250-  $100 deposit required to secure your place

Balance due closer to date

·        *Travel to start of the hike will be in a 25-seater bus driven by my licensed husband Jason Smith.

·       * Pick up will be from the car park at Bunnings Waurn Ponds at 9am Saturday morning

·        Sunday return will be late afternoon

TOUR IN DETAIL:

Saturday 26^th October:

Bus will depart Bunnings Waurn Ponds Car Park at 9am for approx. 2 hour drive to Timboon.

Starting around approx. 11am we will walk from Timboon to Port Campbell along the rail trail.

We will stop for lunch (supplied by yourself) along the way.

This walk is reasonably flat and you will be walking along sealed sections, gravel and dirt.

I am hoping it will take us between 4-5 hours to walk.  Walking distance could be 17-20km.

Sunday 27^th October

As there is no direct path to the 12 Apostles we will board the bus for a short drive before stopping for approx. 1 hour to see some famous Port Campbell sites including Loch Ard Gorge.  We will then board the bus again and head to The 12 Apostles for some beautiful photos.   From here, we will walk part of the last section of the Great Ocean Walk to Princetown (approximately 8km) where the bus will then pick us up and bring us all the way home.  This section has spectacular views of the 12 Apostles.  Walking distance could be up to 13 to 14kms for the day. 

WHAT TO BRING:

Everything you require will be in a small back pack you carry.  Keep it simple ladies.  This is a hiking Adventure. 

Suggested items:

Walking clothes for Day 2

Warm Jacket/ Rain Jacket

Comfy walking shoes (can be runners, trail runners or hiking shoes)

Basic toiletries.

Something to sleep in

If you have room something to wear to dinner.

BOOKING TERMS and CONDITIONS:

Bookings open to first 22 people to pay deposit

Refunds can only be given up to 1 month prior to the Adventure as this Adventure involves payment to Third parties and is dependent on 22 people attending

Your place can be transferred to another person if you no longer wish to attend.

A waiting list will be started if there is demand for places.

Deposit of $100 is required to secure your place.

Balance of $150 due prior to the Adventure.

Open to W.I.N.E. Adventure Group members first and notification on when bookings open will be put into members page on Facebook.
